For mealtime, grab a coveted table at one of the restaurants on the edge of the cliff. This will make for a romantic and memorable occasion with once-in-a-lifetime views. Note: you must eat at these restaurants in order to scope out the view, they otherwise won’t let you walk in or else there would be people disturbing patrons all day long.
The main street in the city center (‘new’ side of Ronda) is Calle Espinel (“La Bola” by locals). This is where you will find dozens of cafes, shops and ice cream parlors (heladerias). I always love seeing grown men and women eating ice cream cones on a hot day – who says cones are for kids? There are quite a few shops where you can find decent clothes and accessories, and most are inexpensive. I picked up a necklace and a light button up sweater (it’s silver!).
